Your chance to choose
Children taking part in Walk on Wednesday (WOW) and Walking Bug schemes are being invited to vote for the gift they would like to receive when they have filled their sticker cards.
All pupils will be rewarded and can now have a say in what they get at the end of the school year.
Simon Dolby, chairman of the KM Charity Team, which runs the walk to school schemes said: “We are inviting children to help us select the gift by viewing them and voting for them in a special poll.
“By going into the polling centre on our website and clicking the WOW and Bug link they can choose the gift they would like to receive.”
The poll closes at noon on December 1 and the gifts most appropriate for infant and junior school age pupils will be provided to the 40,000 children using the scheme this academic year.
WOW encourages families to walk to and from school on Wednesdays and children are issued with passport tally cards where they can fix special stickers they are given every time they walk to school.
Pupils joining the Walking Bug take part in an exciting journey around three walls charts learning about history, culture and a variety of well-known landmarks.
*As well as the KM group, Wow and Walking Bug, which are KCC and Medway Council-led initiatives are sponsored by Bel UK (Mini Babybel) Volker Highways, Eurostar and Leeds Castle.
